One Health Masterclass 2021

The HORN One Health Masterclass is an intensive training course for early career researchers based in the Horn of Africa, and focusses on increasing One Health research capacity of both individuals and institutes. Through a mixture of pre-learning material, live and pre-recorded lectures, the Masterclass provides in-depth learning opportunities to increase knowledge in quantitative skills in epidemiology, social science approaches, and laboratory skills and techniques.

Delivered entirely online, the Masterclass and will involve both offline materials and live content via our bespoke website and Zoom. Please ensure you have a suitable internet connection and computer/laptop available for the duration of the event.

Eligibility

Early career researchers from the Horn of Africa with an interest in One Health, and some experience of undertaking research, are eligible to attend the Masterclass, as are HORN Fellows. The project will assist with the purchase of data bundles for those who require it.

Workshop Options & Information

The Masterclass will take place over a two-week period. We will only consider applications from people who select a four-day workshop in week one, a two-day workshop across week’s one and two, and another four-day workshop in week two.

Although the event is taking place online, each workshop will have limited capacity, so we ask you to choose a “First Preference” and “Second Preference”. Whilst we will try to allocate you a place based on your preferred selections, this may not be possible.
