Admas Abera is a lecturer and researcher at Haramaya University, School of Public Health in Ethiopia. He received his MSc degree in Epidemiology from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and BSc degree in Public Health from Mada Walabu University, Ethiopia.
Admas is a young epidemiologist who is passionate in engaging in public health researches. His research interest includes Health Systems, Health Information Systems, Maternal and Child Health, TB and HIV, and Non-Communicable Diseases. As a lecturer, Admas he shared his knowledge with graduate and undergraduate students and immensely contributed to research activities in his university since 2012.
Currently, he is a principal investigator of implementation research focusing on health data use for evidence based decision making among health facilities in Eastern Ethiopia. Moreover, he is leading projects in collaboration with Ministry of Health, Regional Health Bureaus and other international organizations where technical support is provided to surrounding hospitals and health centers among other initiatives.
