Ceri-Wyn joined UKRI-BBSRC in April 2018 as a Strategy and Policy Manager. She is the primary science contact for Animal Health and ‘One health’ approaches within BBSRC’s wider ‘Bioscience for Health’ strategic priority area. 
She manages a number of GCRF-funded initiatives.
Ceri-Wyn previously worked in scholarly publishing, managing a small portfolio of research journals in materials science and engineering for the Institute of Physics. She gained her PhD from the University of Bristol in 2012, having worked on fossilised animal embryos from Neoproterozoic phosphorites in China, and their efficacy in improving our understanding of early metazoan evolution.
