Gezahegn Alemayehu is research Fellow at One health Liverpool and PhD fellow at Addis Ababa University and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). He received Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Jimma University and Master of science in Veterinary Public Health form Addis Ababa University.
His research works mainly focused on control of animal diseases which have zoonotic risks for the people. He also conducted different researches which aimed to reduced diseases risks and improve quality of products along livestock and livestock products production and marketing chains. His current PhD research focuses on control of reproductive diseases in small ruminant in which most of these diseases are zoonoses and largely neglected. Gezahegn has nearly 12 years of teaching experiences in university and conducted various researches funded by national and international donor and published more than 15 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
