Hamilton Majiwa is a Researcher; currently pursuing an MA in Medical Anthropology at The University of Nairobi. He has an undergraduate degree in biomedical science and technology from Maseno University with a keen interest in zoonotic disease research and how cultural practices add to the spread or control of zoonoses while exploring beliefs and cultural norms that contribute to the realization of One Health.
Hamilton has experience working with Communities in rural areas and informal settlements. His most recent work has been on the Knowledge and practices on zoonotic diseases among livestock traders. He has experience and Competence in the field of research using Qualitative and Quantitative research methods
His current multidisciplinary project funded by HORN is “Developing a community led zoonotic disease prioritisation framework in Oloitolitol sub county, Kajiado county, Kenya.”
