Dr. Peter Koskei is a Lecturer and immediate former Head, Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Public Health Moi University, Kenya. He teaches Principles of epidemiology as well as communicable disease epidemiology and control. Prior to him joining Moi University, Dr. Kosei worked for the Rinderpest eradication project in Southern Sudan undertaken by Veterinaries Sans Frontier- Belgium and funded by FAO. He has also worked as a Veterinary investigation officer and as a field Veterinarian at the ministry of livestock development, Government of Kenya. Currently, Dr. Koskei is pursuing a PhD in Medical Epidemiology at the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITROMID), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
Dr. Koskei has also been the One Health Central and Eastern Africa (OHCEA)- now (Africa One Health University Network (AFROHUN) focal person for Moi University, a project that brought together 16 schools (8 Public Health and 8 Veterinary) across eight countries in East, Central and West Africa.
