Amina Hussein

Dr. Amina Husein grew up in Somalia, where her love of animals began early in life. Her childhood was spent caring for the family animals from cows to shoats to chicken. Following high school, Dr. Amina followed her passion and attended IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School and obtained Diploma in Livestock Health Sciences (DLH). She further persuaded her study and earned Degree of Veterinary Medicine at Mekelle University, Ethiopia. Her dream was to serve and improve Somali livestock sector and at the moment she is in a position where she can turn that dream into reality. Currently, she works as a Tutor and Lab Technician in ISTVS and produces graduates who are technically well equipped and can change the fate of livestock sector to better.
