Meseret Legesse has been working as a research coordinator at School of Public Health, Addis Ababa University since March 2018. Previously she worked in health facilities as well as in health office and contributed to improvement of health and wellbeing of the rural community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Medco Bio Medical College and a Master’s degree in Public Health Nutrition from School of Public Health, Addis Ababa University. She is a passionate early career researcher who strives to fill the gap in maternal and child nutrition focusing on early days of life and mainly interested in rural areas. During her Master’s study, Meseret conducted a cohort study on maternal physical activity during pregnancy and its impact on birth weight of new borns. Currently, she is member of a HORN research team that works on COVID-19 and its impact on health system in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Her long-term aim is to excel in health research and contribute to the struggle being made to improve maternal and child health.
