Dr. Yewubdar Gulelat Zemedhun is a HORN research fellow since October 2019. Yewubdar has a veterinary medicine background from Hawassa University and received a master’s degree in tropical and infectious diseases from Addis Ababa University. She has been working at Dilla University and engaged in teaching, conducting research, providing community service, and served in different administrative positions. She is an early career researcher who aspired to become well acquainted infectious diseases epidemiologist in human and animal health interface. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD study in the program of the tropical and infectious disease at Addis Ababa University (AAU), Ethiopia and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Kenya in a sandwich scheme. Her PhD research is entitled “Comparing Methods for Integrated Control of Porcine Cysticercosis in Western Kenya”.
